Project Designer Refresher (8 Hours)

This 8-hour Cal-OSHA -accredited course satisfies the annual refresher requirement for maintaining AHERA Project Designer Refresher certification. It is also a required component for maintaining Cal-OSHA Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) status.

Course topics include:

• Federal, state, and local regulatory updates ( EPA , AHERA, OSHA , Cal-OSHA)

• Health effects, liability exposure, and design-related safety considerations

• Review of abatement design principles and containment strategies

• Writing and updating technical specifications and bid documents

• Budgeting, cost estimation, and contract preparation

• Design alternatives for Class I work and occupied building scenarios

Case-based discussions are used to examine real-world design challenges and develop practical solutions. The course ensures that certified professionals stay current with evolving standards and continue to implement best practices in the field.

Prerequisite: Valid AHERA Project Designer certification (or within one year of expiration)

Full attendance is required to receive a Cal-OSHA Refresher certificate.
