- ➤ Researchers at UC Davis, Northwestern and UW found race-based bias in media reporting on gun violence using nearly 36,000 news stories from 2014 to 2023, showing that white-majority neighborhoods received roughly twice the coverage of majority-minority areas. UC Davis
