Davis Odd Fellows Lodge’s monthly bingo game held Sunday raised $1,279 for University Farm Circle (a philanthropic group offering educational programs and scholarships) in Davis.

On March 7, the Iranian Student Organization celebrated Nowruz (Persian New Year) at the Walter A.

Buehler Alumni Center, drawing over 100 attendees including students, families and other community members. The event featured live music, cultural performances and authentic Persian dishes from local vendors.

UC Davis faculty and students received awards including $800k RCSA Bridge Awards, a CITRIS-CDSS Innovation Fellowship for wildfire sensor research, an ESA Graduate Policy Award for Gabriel Calistro, and IEEE fellowship, and Tamara Swaab’s induction to the Royal Holland Society is set for March 30.

UC Davis will extend its College Corps program with nearly $9.8 million to let up to 225 students each academic year earn living and education awards through service.

Student applications are accepted until April 2 and nonprofit host applications until April 30 (deadlines).

On March 3, UC Davis officials met with the editorial board to review campus updates: the reclassification of the equestrian team, enhanced safety measures such as new lighting fixtures and blue emergency boxes (for 911 calls), and facility upgrades at CoHo, while outlining support for immigration enforcement safety and research funding adjustments.
