- ➤ UC Davis' Department of Theatre and Dance opened 'The Drowsy Chaperone' on Feb. 26 at Main Theater in Wright Hall. - ➤ UC Davis earned a global ranking today — placing second in the world in veterinary science and agriculture and forestry while ranking first in the nation — according to QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026. - ➤ The February Crowdfund UC Davis cohort set records with 51 projects raising $144,984 from 1,205 donors — including projects like Move Together, Heal Together for cancer survivors and the Outdoor Adventures Access Fund that reached a $50,000 endowment. - ➤ UC Davis researchers received a $4.9 million grant in January to advance self-cloning crop technology through synthetic apomixis. Their work builds on past success in rice to boost yields and now focuses on adapting the method to dicots (such as Indian mustard). The California Aggie
