The city’s annual César Chávez Celebration will be held on April 26 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Davis Farmers Market in Central Park (401).

On Tuesday night—Davis Police Chief Todd Henry informed City Council about the shooting that occurred on Saturday at Community Park during Picnic Day.

The city of Davis is accepting applications from residents aged 18 and older to serve on 10 advisory commissions—including groups focused on areas such as Climate and Environmental Justice, Fiscal, Human Relations, Open Space and Habitat, Planning, Police Accountability, Recreation and Park, Senior Citizen, and Social Services. Applicants must submit forms by May 2, and the city council will review them in June.
