- ➤ UC Davis will hold its annual Memorial Day Ceremony on May 21 to honor 136 Gold Star Aggies with a reading of their names at the North Patio at Memorial Union. Attendees will hear remarks from student affairs and keynote trauma surgeon Rachel Russo — an Air Force veteran. UC Davis

- ➤ Relative Motion, the spring concert, begins May 14 at 7 p.m. in Wright Hall’s Main Theatre and spans two weekends — featuring student work from diverse dance styles. Tickets are available online, by phone at 530-752-2471, or at the UC Davis Ticket Office. The California Aggie
- ➤ Student artist Kimberly Morales Mcmullen’s winning design 'Endless Possibilities' will be painted on the wall across from California Hall to celebrate Davis diversity + sustainability; community painting days will involve residents before the mural is completed near the end of June. - ➤ The UC Davis Student Startup Center held Demo Day 2026 at California Hall on May 7, where 18 undergraduate teams pitched projects built during a 12-week PLASMA program & shared their diverse entrepreneurial experiences. The California Aggie
- ➤ Davis faculty earned prestigious international honors in a recent Laurels edition at Dateline UC Davis. One professor appeared on Time’s 100 influential list, another was elected to the International Academy of Food Science and Technology, and Simon Cherry and Prasad Naik received top awards, with more to be announced soon.
