CRIME NEWS
- ➤ In the trial of former UC Davis student Carlos Reales Dominguez, who faces felony murder and attempted murder charges for a 2023 Davis stabbing spree, multiple detectives and experts testified detailed evidence including surveillance footage and body camera recordings on Wednesday. - ➤ Dr. Noor Nazir, a pregnant postdoctoral researcher at UC Davis who was terminated in April, now faces forced departure by May 18 while battling a high-risk twin pregnancy (with complications including anemia, thalassemia, and infections) and lacking income and health insurance. Union leaders and colleagues urge the university to provide her a visiting scholar position to secure her legal status and health care, but officials have rejected the proposals so far.
