UC Davis held a ribbon-cutting on May 19 at the new Resnick Center for Agricultural Innovation, a 34,000 sqft facility for research and hands-on learning in climate-smart agriculture — the center connects cutting-edge technology with practical training to drive sustainable food systems.
UC Davis undergraduates won the $25,000 first-prize at the 26th annual Big Bang!
Business Competition for their project, First Bite, which designs a device to secure breathing tubes for newborns. The team plans to use the funding to manufacture their device & validate their prototype with hospitals.
During Mental Health Awareness Month, UC Davis expanded counseling services and launched programs to support student mental health.
New initiatives include community advising, Nature Rx (a program that prescribes time outdoors), and funding for basic needs to make support more accessible.
