The Vanguard is seeking $15,000 to pay its staff and keep its nonprofit newsroom running in Davis.
It investigates issues like wrongful convictions and prosecutorial misconduct—aiming to hold power accountable.
The Davis Human Relations Commission released a 91‑page MAPA report that shows discrimination against Muslims—Arabs, Palestinians and allies and outlines steps including bias training and talks with DJUSD and UCD.
The report was finished on April 2 and its recommendations were approved on April 24 after many residents shared their experiences.
