A Yolo County judge considered mental health diversion for a man with a mental illness charged with domestic violence after he allegedly injured his spouse in April, despite objections from the district attorney.

The man is out on bail ($30,000 bond) and under a protective order (issued by the court), and his hearing will resume later this afternoon.

A Davis woman faced battery charges after an altercation Monday at the Paul's Place housing community, police said.
