The Yolo County District Attorney’s Office announced it will retry the Davis stabbing case that ended in a mistrial last month — the second trial is set for early 2026.
Judge Richardson maintained a $25,000 bail for the accused shoplifter even though his defense showed pay stubs to prove that the funds were lawful & the accused has 14 additional cases pending, with total bail set at $136,000.
Best Buy employees and police testified that video footage showed the accused shoplifting at Woodland, and his bail hearing will be held on Aug. 4 in hopes of lowering the hold.
Carlos Reales Dominguez faces a retrial on revised charges of second-degree murder and attempted murder enhanced for use of a deadly weapon after his previous mistrial; his trial will begin January 20th at 9 a.m. in Department 14 with readiness and status conferences scheduled for Dec. 18th, Jan. 14th, and Oct. 16th.
