The Davis Odd Fellows Lodge held its monthly bingo game on Sunday and raised $971.64 for the Yolo County Foster and Kinship Care Education Program, an organization in Woodland that helps foster parents.

A study by UC Davis and the University of Notre Dame found that colleges eliminating standardized test requirements generally boosted diversity but saw smaller gains when they faced financial stress or prioritized test scores — researchers analyzed data from over 1,500 colleges from 2003 to 2019 and published their findings on Aug. 11.

The city of Davis released its final report today on a $300K arts grant that supported the Hate Free Together initiative — the report shows community feedback and details the work of the artist-led CARE program in partnership with state agencies.
