Good morning, Davis.
🚨 Crime
On Friday at Yolo County Superior Court, a prosecutor argued that a man charged with petty theft and vandalism posed a public risk—despite claims that his offense was linked to medication issues—yet Judge Catherine Hohenwarter granted his release to probation under PRCS, and he is set to report to probation today.
🏛️ Government
The City of Davis Social Services Commission will review the Village Farms affordable housing plan that uses cash payments and other contributions in place of the full land dedication normally required.
The proposal is part of a review process for a 498-acre development that will eventually include 1,800 homes and community facilities.
