Residents in Davis have raised concerns as the token fee increased at the Playfields Park batting cages — local community members worry the higher price could reduce affordable access.

The Campus Community Book Project is inviting nominations for titles that fit its 2027-28 theme of futures and technology.

Nominations can be submitted by email through Sept. 9, and the chosen book will be featured in a year of activities leading up to a visit by its author.
