- ➤ The Davis City Council reconvened on Tuesday after a month and a half summer recess and unanimously appointed a new city manager—Daryel Dunston. The council also discussed updates to the General Plan and plans for tree maintenance in Davis. The Davis Enterprise
- ➤ UC Davis experts from political science, history, economics, law and education are now available to guide media on federal issues—providing detailed insights on topics like constitutional law, immigration and funding impacts in an updated guide first released in March and revised in August. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Today, Sutter Health invested $150,000 to expand Meals on Wheels programs in Yolo, Yuba, and Sutter counties to improve nutrition for older adults. The funds will pay for frozen storage equipment and new lease space so that MOW Yolo can begin meal delivery in October + serve at least 42 seniors each week. Davis Vanguard
- ➤ UC Davis Medical Center will be designated as the first Special Pathogen Treatment Center in Northern California—this new status will allow the hospital to treat patients with contagious illnesses more effectively. The Davis Enterprise
