26 for its low median debt and was also recognized by Washington Monthly and Princeton Review for strong research and career placement. The university uses these rankings to show its commitment to affordability and social mobility—helping students succeed.

Rep. Mike Thompson and Assembly Majority Leader Cecilia Aguiar-Curry released an invitation for high school students to join the 2025-2026 Student Leadership Council.

Students who join will help shape ideas and guide school programs—paving the way for the next school year.

The Davis City Council is reviewing two scheduling options for the Village Farms Davis proposal, a 497.5-acre development that would add 1,800 market-rate and affordable homes, parks, greenbelts, and community amenities needed for voter approval in June under Measure J/R/D (staff favors the schedule that increases public input and will present further policy details on September 30).
