The Downtown Streets Team will close its Daytime Respite Center by Oct 31, leaving many unhoused neighbors without essential help and forcing city leaders to weigh options—such as hiring a new provider or repurposing the site—to maintain homelessness services.

Researchers at UC Davis created a small microscope called DeepInMiniscope that made real-time clear pictures of mouse brain activity.

The device uses over 100 lenslets and a neural network— which quickly builds 3D images— to help scientists study how brain activity links to behavior in mice as they move freely.
