Today, the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine announced plans to expand its veterinary complex with $110.5M in gifts, adding new facilities such as an imaging center, equine hospital, education pavilion, and primary care hospital to address a vet workforce shortage and boost patient care. The project will increase enrollment from 600 to 800 students and raise patient capacity from 50,000 to 70,000 over the next 10 years — building on projects since 2016 and donor support including a $50M challenge grant from the Wayne and Gladys Valley Foundation.
