Good morning, Davis.
🎓 Education
UC Davis was named North America's most sustainable university by UI GreenMetric on Sept.
24, maintaining the title for 11 years. Its Big Shift project will soon replace steam heating with renewable hot water + cut emissions and utility costs, while a climate change literacy requirement begins by 2030.

The Sacramento-based educator will teach sculpture and expand the textiles curriculum in upcoming courses — a role that builds on his innovative approach to woven art.
🌲 Environment
Researchers at UC Davis found that coast redwoods slow photosynthesis amid heat spikes as temperatures rose past 86°F in summers 2022 and 2024.
