EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ UC Davis earned $961 million in external research awards for fiscal year 2024-25—money received from various sources—and the funding supports a broad range of research to transform lives and communities—efforts that strengthen the university's academic work. The Davis Enterprise

- ➤ Five city commissions met Wednesday night at the Community Chambers to review changes to Measure J/R/D, a law that requires voter approval for converting open space to urban use. Their feedback will help the City Council draft ballot language to ease housing rules so Davis can meet state housing mandates — a move that comes with tight cost and timeline pressures.
