- ➤ Inventopia, Davis nonprofit business incubator, announced today it is converting its engineering center into a community makerspace (offering advanced prototyping tools such as 3D printers, a laser cutter, CNC router, and more) for hobbyists, hackers, students, artists, carpenters, and entrepreneurs; the facility is recruiting volunteer shop managers and may open before the upcoming holiday season. - ➤ The Yolo County League of Women Voters is hosting a free, nonpartisan voter education event on October 15th at Woodland Community and Senior Center to explain Proposition 50 and voting options — doors open at 6:45 p.m. and the event runs from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.; community members may join in person or watch online.
