- ➤ Davis Police Department will kick off its annual Pack the Patrol Car toy drive on Friday—collecting toys for underserved kids in Davis. The Davis Enterprise
- ➤ Mail Services is hosting a toy drive on Davis campus with blue bins available Dec 1-11 while Aggie Surplus offers discounts on Dec 4-5 for toy donations — a virtual toy drive supporting UC Davis Children’s Hospital patients is open through Dec 24. - ➤ Meals on Wheels and Yolo County Animal Services have started the Passion For PAWS pet food and supplies drive—running through Dec. 31 to help food insecure seniors and their pets across Yolo County. The Davis Enterprise
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Center for Child and Family Studies offers the Growing Together program to help all families learn about child development and build community during weekly play-based sessions on Old Davis Road—registration for winter quarter is open now at $200 per family until the group fills. The program welcomes children from 6 months to preschool age and includes monthly family education workshops on Zoom. UC Davis
- ➤ On November 18, the Yolo County Board of Education appointed Julián Muñoz to fill the vacancy on its five-member board in Woodland — the decision came during a regular meeting. The Davis Enterprise
- ➤ On Oct. 17, UC Davis Foundation Chair Deborah J. Neff presented the 2025 Faculty and Staff Stewardship Awards — recognizing Ben Montpetit and Michelle Linenberger for their work with donors at UC Davis. Their efforts help build lasting support for university programs. UC Davis
