- ➤ A UC Davis study by sociology professor Oscar Contreras-Velasco found that increasing cartel violence pushed migrants onto more dangerous routes along the border (analyzing nearly 5,000 survey responses from 2015 to 2019). UC Davis
- ➤ Researchers at UC Davis Plant Sciences announced a major breakthrough that could improve farming methods, drawing on over 117 years of agricultural research. The discovery is expected to support sustainable practices for local growers + the campus community. The Davis Enterprise
- ➤ UC Davis awarded $100,000 via the autumn STAIR Grant Program to professors Abhaya M. Dandekar and Keith Baar to advance research on plant-based dyes and device-assisted tendon health.
