- ➤ The Davis Odd Fellows Lodge held a bingo game on Dec. 14 that raised $2,247 for Unleashing the Possibilities Inc., a nonprofit working to build a new animal shelter. The funds will support ongoing local animal care efforts. The Davis Enterprise

- ➤ The Big Shift project is updating the campus steam system in the Sprocket district, including Segundo, Regan halls and ARC, to finish in early 2027. Seismic work and Coffee House renovations with outdoor seating + improved lighting will be complete by Summer 2026 while sidewalks closed in early December remain. The California Aggie

- ➤ UC Davis fish biologists counted a record-breaking 2,100 Chinook salmon spawning in restored Putah Creek this fall — the successful run follows 25 years of habitat improvements and timed water releases and is set to produce millions of eggs next spring. UC Davis
